Risk factors associated with the presence of S. aureus genotypes in bulk milk samples from Swiss dairy herds
Contact person: Franziska Wohlfender
Duration: June 2011 - December 2012
Staphylococcus aureus is a common cause of mastitis in dairy herds. S. aureus is known to consist of many genotypes and all have their own characteristics. Their occurrence is assumed to depend on certain farm characteristics. The aim of this project is to identify genotype-specific risk factors associated with the presence of S. aureus in bulk milk.
