The overall aim of this PhD project is to develop infectious disease and economic models to evaluate the cost effectiveness of the two surveillance programs currently implemented in Switzerland and to provide alternative control strategies that will improve efficiency and resource allocation.
The epidemiologic evaluation to assess the impact of BVD eradication program on animal health and production were done by Aurélie Tschopp.
This project is a collaboration with the ruminant clinic, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern.
